1. The Strategic Advisory Board
The Strategic Advisory Board serves as the highest advisory organ of the Order of Dignity and Service Association, bringing together eminent individuals whose distinguished careers, national service, and intellectual authority provide unmatched guidance to the organisation. Its members include respected national heroes, seasoned public servants, senior security leaders, renowned professionals, and other influential figures whose collective wisdom enriches the Association’s strategic direction.
Through their expertise, the Board strengthens the Association’s long-term vision, credibility, and national relevance. They offer high-level counsel on governance, policy, partnerships, and institutional growth while ensuring that the Association remains aligned with Kenya’s national priorities and global best practices.
2. National Executive Council (NEC)
The National Executive Council (NEC) is the central governing organ of the Order of Dignity and Service Association, entrusted with providing overall national leadership, policy direction, and strategic oversight. It is responsible for shaping the organisation’s vision, setting priorities, formulating programs, and ensuring that all activities align with the Association’s mandate of safeguarding the dignity, welfare, and legacy of Kenya’s heroes and heroines.
Beyond leadership, the NEC oversees national coordination, daily administration, and the effective execution of all programs across the 47 counties. It manages national operations, approves work plans and budgets, strengthens partnerships, ensures compliance with legal and governance frameworks, and represents the Association in engagements with government agencies, institutions, and stakeholders. Through its collective stewardship, the NEC ensures continuity, accountability, and impactful national service.

3. The National Secretariat
The Secretariat serves as the administrative and operational engine of the Order of Dignity and Service Association, responsible for translating policy decisions into practical action and ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities. Headed by the Secretary-General, it manages internal coordination, communication, documentation, and the implementation of all programs approved by the National Executive Council. The Secretariat ensures that the Association remains organised, responsive, and efficient in fulfilling its national mandate.
In addition to driving operations, the Secretariat provides professional support across all departments, including membership management, finance, welfare services, research, communication, and legal compliance. It maintains accurate records, oversees correspondence, supports county chapters, and ensures that national programs are executed with transparency, consistency, and accountability. Through its structured and disciplined work, the Secretariat sustains the operational backbone that enables the Association to serve heroes and their families effectively.

4. Standing National Committees
To support specialised work and ensure strong, accountable, and professionally executed governance, the Order of Dignity and Service Association shall establish a set of dedicated committees. These committees serve as the operational backbone of the institution, each focusing on a specific mandate that requires expert attention, detailed oversight, and continuous implementation.
By decentralising responsibilities into specialised units, the Association strengthens efficiency, promotes transparency, and enhances the quality of services delivered to heroes, families, and communities across the country. Each committee will operate under clear terms of reference, provide regular reports to the National Executive Council, and contribute to the overall growth, dignity, and sustainability of the Association.

Patron
The Patron of the Order of Dignity and Service Association serves as the highest ceremonial figure and symbolic guardian of the Association’s values, vision, and national purpose. This distinguished role is bestowed upon an individual of exceptional integrity, national stature, and proven commitment to the advancement of Kenya’s heroes and heroines. The Patron provides moral authority, inspires unity, and enhances the public image and credibility of the Association both nationally and internationally.
While the Patron does not engage in day-to-day management, their presence elevates the Association’s profile, strengthens partnerships, and supports national advocacy for the recognition, welfare, and honour of heroes. Through their influence and prestige, the Patron helps mobilise goodwill, open strategic avenues, and reinforce the Association’s mission of preserving legacy, promoting service, and upholding the dignity of those who have contributed to the nation’s progress.
